We welcome you to Classic’s to experience a meal of grace, refinement and congeniality with a treat to your palate. Classic’s restaurant, located at the basement of Cairn hotel Edinburgh at 10-18 Windsor Street, which overlooks a spacious back garden, serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant location is 7 minute walk from Princes Street and 2 minute walk from the Edinburgh Playhouse. Our menu experience offers you South Indian, North Indian and European cuisines.
The soft lighting and mellow music provide an intimate and relaxed setting. The décor is elegant with traditional Scottish and Indian elements. Hard wood furnishing, red curtains, stone walls and red candles create a royal dining experience. Traditional Indian spices and herbs are intrinsic to the flavours of the specialities served. The menu offered will take to a culinary journey from succulent kebabs, rich curries and flavourful long grain basmati rice preparations.
The Indian dishes reflect the distinctive cooking style and dining rituals of India’s ancient nobility. Dishes like Dosa, Idli, Kerala roast chicken masala , Travancore Lamb curry etc are some of our south Indian delights along with Butter chicken, Chilli paneer,Baigankabartha, KadaiGosht and UK’S all-time favourite Chicken tikka masala.
Our well balanced wine selections are chosen by experts to pair with Indian and European meals. Classics is child friendly and families are welcomed.
The restaurant is spacious and it accommodates up to 125 seats with attached bar. We also have a conference facility for up to 30 people. Although the restaurant is fine dining it is also an ideal venue for Parties. Birthday parties, Office parties, wedding receptions, hen or stag parties are all welcomed at Classic’s. The restaurant could be divided in two segments, which allow us to accommodate small or large group of parties. Street parking is available at Windsor Street and London Road and its side roads. The street parking is free after 5.30pm and all day Saturday and Sunday.
